I am elated and basically jump up to start rambling off coconut oil benefits and uses.
It’s a bit much for some, but I just can’t help it, I just want everyone to know how amazing coconut oil is.

Without a doubt coconut oil is single handedly one of the most beneficial and nutritious of the ‘superfoods’.
It is truly a “jack of all trades” and can do just about anything.
It has definitely become one of the most popular well known oils, right up there with olive oil which is a staple in most homes.
Coconut oil is not far behind in becoming a household staple and I foresee it being there in no time.
It is definitely a staple in my home.
Getting the most out of your coconut oil is important and you have to be picky when choosing a brand in order to get all the coconut oil benefits.
Specifically, you should look for “Pure, 100% Raw, and Unrefined, Expeller-Pressed Coconut Oil”.
This is the unprocessed product derived directly from the organic coconuts with minimal processing or modification.
This is as close to “unprocessed” as you can get.
The more foods are processed, the less the health value they offer.
My personal favorite is Raw COCOMD Coconut Oil.
There are quite a few ways to consume coconut oil.
You can cook with it, bake with it, put it in your coffee or smoothie or just eat it straight up.
It’s said to be better to consume coconut oil raw without being cooked because high heat levels can change the properties of the oil and therefore may affect the overall nutritional value.
However consuming coconut oil in anyway, shape or form is better than not consuming it at all.

Coconut oil is unique in that it has a high melting point.
This means it’s a solid form at room temperature.
It doesn’t melt until about 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
You will notice when you purchase a bottle, it will be in solid form.
It doesn’t take much heat for this to melt, the moment coconut oil touches your skin it will solidify and melt into your skin.
If you are using coconut oil for topical purposes as apart of your beauty routine or to help heal or soothe a skin condition or injury, you can have it solidify the moment you touch it to your skin.
It will normally melt on contact and melt away into your skin.
If you would prefer it to be a liquid before you apply it, you can do so simply by immersing a container with the solid oil into warm water.
It will melt in a matter of a few moments.
You should not microwave coconut oil as it can affect the healing properties of the oil.
You can use as a moisturizer or healing aid and apply it to your hair, face and skin.
You will notice healthier skin and hair if you do this regularly.
If you would like to use it for cooking or baking, you can substitute coconut oil in place of vegetable oil or butter.
Giving coconut oil a chance is without a doubt something you should do.
Take baby steps and implement coconut oil in one way or another into your life, whatever seems the easiest for you to do, start with first.
Once you start seeing the results and benefits from coconut oil you will be obsessed and want to use it in any and every way you can!
